Mass shooting in North Baltimore leaves one dead, five wounded, including 5-year-old

Six people, including a five-year-old girl, were shot in North Baltimore on Saturday evening, with one man later dying from his injuries. The shooting took place around 8:46 p. m. at Spaulding and Queensberry Avenues. The injured victims also include a 23-year-old woman and three men aged 32, 33, and 52, all expected to recover.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Worley indicated that the victims were outside when the shots were fired, suggesting a targeted attack. Homicide detectives are leading the investigation and have asked the public for assistance in identifying the shooter. The incident raises concerns about gun violence in the community, as many residents worry about their safety. The police have not yet made any arrests, prompting an appeal for information through their tip line. This shooting adds to the ongoing dialogue about public safety measures in Baltimore.
