Organized by 50501, the event began at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, temporarily disrupting downtown traffic as participants moved through Old Town and Downtown Portland. The organization called for mass mobilization against Trump administration policies, including the weaponization of ICE and cuts to social services like Medicaid and SNAP. Officers on bicycles and in cars monitored the event, activating an Incident Command Team and ensuring public safety while following a directive to avoid immigration enforcement. The march route included several major thoroughfares, highlighting the event's visibility within the city.

This protest marks a continuation of significant activism in Portland, which has seen some of the largest protests since 2020.
