Friends of IFCC’s Artist Grant & Residency Program is open for submissions until September 12, 2025, providing crucial support for artists in various disciplines. The program offers funding, dedicated studio space, and opportunities for professional development to artists at all levels. The City of Portland allocated $100,000 for fiscal year 2025-26, mirroring the funding from the previous year, which enabled Friends of IFCC to award grants to 23 artists. The initiative seeks to revitalize the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center, emphasizing community engagement and support for local artists. Friends of IFCC operates as one of three contractors in the Office of Arts & Culture’s Small Grants Program, which also includes MusicOregon and the Regional Arts & Culture Council.

This collaborative effort underscores the city's commitment to enhancing the arts landscape. The program's funding sources include the City of Portland’s General Fund, along with other philanthropic contributions.
