The Burdoin Fire remains uncontained in the Columbia River Gorge, having burned 8,776 acres as of July 20. The fire has destroyed 14 primary structures and damaged 37, in addition to 30 minor structures destroyed and 50 damaged. Level 3 evacuation orders remain in place in Klickitat County, including the town of Lyle, with Level 1 and 2 orders also active. Approximately 250 structures are threatened, prompting fire managers to prioritize protecting life safety and critical infrastructure.

One firefighter required hospitalization due to injuries sustained while battling the fire. The Northwest 13 Complex Incident Management Team will assume command of firefighting operations on Monday. Highway 14 is closed from mile marker 66 to mile marker 76 due to the ongoing fire response.
