City of Portland names Elyse Rosenberg as new Chief Information Officer

Elyse Rosenberg has been appointed the Chief Information Officer of the City of Portland, following a national search that attracted over 100 applicants. She officially began her new role this week after serving as the Interim CIO. With nearly 30 years of public service experience, Rosenberg will manage a team of approximately 300 employees and oversee a $144 million budget. Since joining the city in 2011, she has advanced the technology strategy, launched a technology roadmap, and improved data-informed decision-making. Rosenberg aims to enhance technology solutions that promote equity and improve service delivery.

Sara Morrissey, Deputy City Administrator, praised Rosenberg for her vision and collaborative leadership style. Additionally, Rosenberg holds a Master of Public Administration and several certifications, including Certified Government Chief Information Officer. Her extensive background positions her well to guide the city’s technology initiatives effectively.
