Portland Permitting Development fees, effective July 1, 2025

Portland, ORLocal News

The Portland City Council approved a 5% increase in service fees for Permitting & Development, effective July 1, 2025. This change addresses rising labor, materials, and service costs, ensuring the bureau can maintain its service delivery. Public discussions included meetings with the Finance Committee on April 7 and the Development Review Advisory Committee on April 17, emphasizing community engagement in the decision-making process. With 98% of the bureau's revenue coming from service fees, these adjustments are crucial for its operations. The council held a public hearing on May 21 to finalize the fee increases.

Additionally, the Multnomah County Board of Commissioners approved related fee increases for unincorporated areas on July 17. The land use services fee schedule was adopted earlier and took effect on July 1. For complete details, the adopted fee schedules can be accessed on the Portland website.
