During this week, the SSCC received 2,337 campsite reports, assessed 695 campsites, and removed 130 that posed health and safety risks. As of July 1, 2025, the city will stop managing camps on ODOT properties, requiring reports to be directed to ODOT. The program focuses on minimizing the impacts of homelessness while enhancing access to affordable housing. The SSCC’s efforts reflect a commitment to addressing homelessness through empathy and innovation. Community members are encouraged to report camps on ODOT properties directly to ensure timely action.
