An officer-involved shooting prompted police to cordon off roads near Sherwood City Hall at the intersection of Southwest Oregon Street and Langer Farms Parkway. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and observed a police cruiser ramming a white pickup truck, which was found with bullet holes in its windshield. The police cruiser’s role in the situation remains ambiguous, with no information yet released about the timing of the incident. The area has been closed off for over an hour as the Major Crimes Unit expands the crime scene. Local resident Pat Ochs remarked on the unusual nature of the event, stating that Sherwood is typically a safe and family-oriented area.

Authorities have restricted access to the scene, allowing only specific officers and detectives to enter. Investigators are working diligently to gather further information on the incident, including the condition of those involved. KATU News plans to provide updates as more details become available.
