Months of massage parlor burglaries in Glendale end in arrest

On September 18, 2024, Glendale police arrested 23-year-old Mitchell Briggs, believed to be behind a series of massage parlor burglaries that plagued the West Valley. Reports indicate that Briggs broke into several establishments using a pry bar, often threatening employees during his heists. Surveillance footage from the incidents showed him dressed in black and using tools to remove glass panels from the front windows. In one robbery, he was seen struggling with an employee before stealing $500. Police were able to identify Briggs through a maroon Dodge Charger linked to the crimes, utilizing their Real Time Crime Center cameras to track his movements.

Following several days of surveillance, officers arrested him outside his home, where they found $10,000 in cash and burglary tools. The investigation highlights the effectiveness of police surveillance and community safety measures in responding to such crimes. Briggs now faces serious charges in connection with the string of burglaries.
