The Phoenix Police Department is mourning the loss of Officer Zane Coolidge, who was fatally shot in the line of duty on September 6, 2024. His memorial service will take place on September 18, 2024, at 9:40 a. m. , and will be streamed live on the department's YouTube channel for those unable to attend. While the service itself is closed to the public, the department encourages community members to show their solidarity by lining the procession route to honor Coolidge’s memory.

The procession will begin at 9:00 a. m. , moving west on Bell Road from 60th Street and then south on Cave Creek Road, concluding at Dream City Church. Officer Coolidge is remembered as a dedicated husband, father, son, and friend, who served with distinction in the Phoenix Police Department. The procession will feature motor officers, family, friends, and Zane's Squad from the Mountain View Precinct, illustrating the deep connections within the law enforcement community.
