'Doomsday Mom' Lori Vallow Daybell gets 2 life sentences for Arizona murder plots

Phoenix, AZLocal News

Lori Vallow Daybell, known as the “Doomsday Mom,” received two life sentences on July 25 in Arizona for her involvement in conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder. She was previously convicted in Idaho for the murders of her children, Joshua and Tylee, and her husband's former wife, Tammy. In Arizona, juries found her guilty of plotting to kill her ex-husband, Charles Vallow, for financial motives, and later attempting to murder her niece’s ex-husband, Brandon Boudreaux. During the sentencing, Judge Justin Beresky remarked that it would take divine intervention for her to gain freedom. Victims' family members spoke out about the devastation caused by her actions, with her son, Colby Ryan, questioning her perceived righteousness.

Larry Woodcock, the grandfather of her murdered son, expressed his anger and disdain for Daybell, while Boudreaux discussed the ongoing fear stemming from the attack. The cases against Daybell were bolstered by cell phone, DNA, and vehicle tracking evidence. Her self-representation in court and claims of innocence were met with skepticism by those affected by her violent actions.
