Beloved gallery closing after 32 years 'You have done so much for this world'

Phoenix, AZLocal News

Art One Gallery in Scottsdale will close permanently on August 30, 2025, after 32 years of operation. Owner Kraig Foote announced that financial difficulties and health challenges led to the decision to shut down the gallery. Since its opening in 1993, Art One has focused on showcasing local students and emerging Arizona artists. In 2018, Foote established the Art One Foundation, a nonprofit aimed at supporting underprivileged high school and college students with art supplies and tuition assistance. The foundation is expected to continue its mission even after the gallery closes.

Foote expressed gratitude for the community's support over the years, highlighting the gallery's role in helping aspiring artists. Maxwell Smith, president of the Art One Foundation, emphasized the transformative power of the arts and his commitment to continuing the foundation's work. Foote will relocate to Utah at the end of July to be closer to his family, signifying a personal transition alongside the gallery's closure.
