The Beet Hunger Bash celebrates decades of service for Philabundance

Philabundance will celebrate its 40th anniversary with the (Beet) Hunger Bash on May 14, 2025, at The Pump House in Bala Cynwyd, inviting locals to partake in the festivities. The event will feature over 20 restaurants and chefs, showcasing culinary excellence while raising awareness about food insecurity in the region. Currently, more than 600,000 individuals, including one in three children, face this critical issue, highlighting the urgent need for action. Loree Jones Brown, CEO of Philabundance, stated that the organization is committed to finding innovative solutions to hunger. Chef Nicholas Elmi, a James Beard Award finalist, will host the occasion, along with other acclaimed chefs.

Tickets for general admission are $400, providing unlimited food and drink, while VIP access costs $500 for early entry and exclusive benefits. This landmark event not only honors Philabundance's legacy but also calls for community engagement to combat hunger. Philabundance has distributed over 50 million pounds of food annually, reflecting its significant impact on the community.
