Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter Waives Adoption Fees for Adult Animals

Parsippany, NJLocal News

Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter will waive adoption fees for all adult animals from June 20 to June 22, encouraging residents to adopt older pets. Adult animals typically wait longer for homes than kittens and puppies, prompting the shelter to take action. Lorri Coppola, Executive Director, noted that the goal is to eliminate financial barriers to adoption. Each adoption package includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipping, ensuring that pets are ready for their new homes.

The shelter will still perform standard adoption screening to match pets with suitable families. Additionally, the shelter's extended hours during the event will allow more people to visit and adopt. This initiative aims to bring attention to the joy and companionship that adult pets can provide. By promoting this event, the shelter hopes to foster a deeper connection between pets and potential adopters.
