Clayton Bernauer Graduates from Prestigious West Point Military Academy

Clayton “CJ” Bernauer, a 2021 Parsippany High School graduate, graduated magna cum laude from the United States Military Academy at West Point on May 24, 2025. He received his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant from his cousin, Captain Rebecca Morel, who graduated from West Point in 2021. Bernauer distinguished himself as captain of the swimming team, leading them to a historic win over the Naval Academy after more than two decades. His civil engineering senior capstone project involved constructing a 34-foot steel bridge in Harriman State Park, enhancing his academic credentials. Following graduation, he will join the 101st Airborne Division, known for its distinguished history in American military operations.

Denis Mulroony, a former principal at his high school, praised Bernauer as a high-character leader. His achievements reflect not only personal excellence but also contribute positively to the reputation of both Parsippany and West Point. Bernauer's family expresses immense pride in his accomplishments and ethical development.
