Community Unites for a Cause BAPS Charities Hosts Annual Spirit of Service Walk-Run

The “Spirit of Service: Walk-Run” organized by BAPS Charities on June 1 in Parsippany attracted over 400 participants to raise funds for the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center and Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute. The event showcased a commitment to health, education, and humanitarian efforts, aligning with BAPS Charities' mission across more than 100 cities in North America. MS. Jigisha Kothari highlighted the significant contributions to cancer screenings and treatments made possible by such events.

Dr. Dhaval Shah emphasized the vital role of diet and exercise in promoting cardiovascular health during his remarks. Local students actively participated, with sixth grader Vihaan Patel sharing how he raised awareness among peers. Jalpesh Thaker, the event lead, expressed gratitude to volunteers and participants for their contributions. BAPS Charities' long-standing commitment includes organizing over 1,000 Walk-Runs and supporting global humanitarian efforts, aiming to foster unity and compassion within communities.

The successful event reaffirmed the power of collective action in driving social change.
