Dog Walker Accused of Burglary at Clients Home

Parsippany, NJLocal News

Maureen Denman, 63, of Morristown, faces burglary charges after unlawfully entering a restricted area of her employer's home in Denville Township. On May 14, police responded to a reported burglary, revealing that Denman had searched through personal belongings in a closed room without permission. Denman’s history includes previous legal issues; in December 2023, she entered a pretrial intervention program following charges of fraudulent credit card use and theft. Reports confirm she made 97 unauthorized ATM withdrawals totaling $24,860 from a credit card belonging to the Morristown Housing Authority, where she had served as chair. As part of her pretrial agreement, Denman was required to undergo treatment for a gambling addiction.

The incident raises significant concerns about the safety and trustworthiness of individuals providing services in private homes. Local residents may question the vetting processes for caregivers and service providers. Authorities urge homeowners to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
