DPW Worker Caught on Camera Removing Musella for Mayor Sign

Parsippany, NJLocal News

Anthony Wintermute, a Parsippany-Troy Hills DPW employee, was caught on camera removing a "Musella for Mayor" campaign sign from private property in Lake Hiawatha. The homeowner had placed the sign with permission the night before, and confirmed its presence that morning. Despite the removal, other Musella signs in the vicinity remained untouched, suggesting selective targeting. Wintermute's salary as a municipal employee is reported to be $56,962. Parsippany Focus inquired about potential actions against Wintermute from Business Administrator Jamie Cryan, but received no response before publication.

Campaign sign tampering is not uncommon during election season in Parsippany and can lead to charges ranging from criminal mischief to theft. Local law enforcement encourages reporting such incidents and preserving evidence. This incident underscores the ongoing issues surrounding political signage and the integrity of local elections.
