Brian J. Cariddi, a 39-year-old resident of Hanover Township, faces serious charges for allegedly soliciting sexually explicit images from a 9-year-old boy located in North Carolina. Between December 11, 2022, and January 10, 2023, Cariddi reportedly engaged in explicit online conversations and requested the child to send images of his intimate parts. Law enforcement arrested him on March 8, 2024, charging him with second-degree attempted endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and fourth-degree lewdness. Following his arrest, Cariddi was detained at the Morris County Correctional Facility as he awaits future court proceedings.

The investigation involves multiple agencies, including the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Authorities have not released the victim's identity to protect his privacy. As the case remains under investigation, officials encourage anyone with information to contact the relevant authorities. A criminal complaint is an accusation only, and Cariddi is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
