The Relay For Life event in Morris County is set for May 10 at Parsippany Hills High School, starting at 4:00 p. m. , and aims to raise funds for cancer research. The community is encouraged to participate in the walk, honoring cancer survivors and remembering those who have lost their battle. Organizers invite participants to form teams, wear purple, and share their stories of resilience.

“So many of us are touched by cancer in some way,” they stated, highlighting the deep personal connections many have to the cause. This event is part of a larger nationwide movement by the American Cancer Society, which promotes awareness and funds for research, education, and patient support. The Relay For Life initiative has historically brought together diverse groups from the community, fostering a sense of unity and support. Last year, similar events raised millions nationwide, showcasing the potential for significant community impact. With strong backing from Parsippany’s students and families, this year’s event aims to inspire hope and resilience against cancer.
