Morris County Public Safety Youth Academy Returns Applications Now Open for Local High School Students

The Morris County Public Safety Youth Academy will run from July 21-25, 2025, offering high school students an engaging introduction to public safety careers. Organized by the Morris County Office of Emergency Management, the program is free for students from local high schools and aims to enhance leadership and teamwork skills. Participants will engage in physical fitness training and simulated emergency response scenarios while interacting with public safety professionals. A representative from the Sheriff’s Office described the academy as a transformative experience that instills responsibility and respect for community service. Past activities have included tactical operations, K-9 demonstrations, and emergency medical simulations, providing real-world insights into public safety roles.
