Parsippany Honors Ptl. Robert Smolen for 20 Years of Dedicated Service

The Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills honored Patrolman Robert Smolen on April 4 for his impressive 20 years of service with the Parsippany Police Department. Throughout his career, Smolen received two Lifesaving Awards and became a trusted mentor to new recruits, showcasing his commitment to both service and community. During the ceremony, he shared his pride in the new officers he has trained, emphasizing their contributions to the department's future. As he prepares for retirement, the community expresses its heartfelt gratitude for his unwavering dedication and significant impact. In addition to this recognition, the Parsippany Water Department will launch its annual Hydrant Inspection and Flushing Program starting April 13, which will run until May 17.

This essential initiative aims to maintain water quality by flushing out minerals and deposits in the system. Residents may experience temporary reduced water pressure or discoloration during the process, which poses no health risks.
