Desai Elected Mayor as Democrats Sweep Official 2025 Parsippany Results
Pulkit Desai has officially been elected as the new Mayor of Parsippany-Troy Hills, defeating incumbent James R. Barberio by a mere 80 votes in a tightly contested election. Desai received 9,978 votes, which accounted for 50. 05% of the total, while Barberio garnered 9,898 votes, or 49. 65%.
Democrats also secured both open seats on the Township Council, with Matt Kavanagh and Diya Patel winning against their Republican opponents. This election results in a Democratic majority for the first time in several years, alongside Councilwoman Judy Hernandez, who is poised to become Council President.
