Defendants Sentenced in Connection with 2021 Homicide

Tyrell Lansing, 32, was sentenced to 25 years in New Jersey State Prison for the August 2021 homicide of Raijah Scott in Morristown. Judge Stephen J. Taylor delivered the sentence on November 14, 2025, following Lansing's guilty plea to aggravated manslaughter and weapon possession charges. Co-defendant De’Quan McDaniel, 31, received a three-year suspended sentence for hindering Lansing's apprehension.
