Bartlett Raises More Than 500,000 in First Five Days of NJ-11 Campaign
Passaic County Commissioner John Bartlett announced that his campaign for New Jersey's 11th Congressional District raised over $500,000 within the first five days. This figure underscores significant early momentum as the Democratic primary heats up following Mikie Sherrill's decision to pursue the governor's office. Bartlett’s total includes contributions from new donors and approximately $30,000 that he self-funded, demonstrating a strong personal investment in his campaign. Other candidates in the race, such as Morris Township Committeeman Jeff Grayzel and former Obama administration official Cammie Croft, have raised $340,000 and $188,000, respectively. The primary is becoming increasingly competitive with the recent entries of prominent Democrats like former Congressman Tom Malinowski and Essex County Commissioner Brendan Gill.
Bartlett emphasized the wave of support his campaign has received, indicating that New Jersey families want a representative focused on public service. The 11th Congressional District includes communities like Parsippany-Troy Hills and Dover, highlighting the local significance of the race. As the campaign develops, Bartlett’s fundraising success positions him as a strong contender for the upcoming special election.
