Parsippany, NJLocal News

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany and the Parsippany Police Athletic League (PAL) have partnered to launch a book drive aimed at enhancing childhood literacy across New Jersey. All donated books will be sent to BookSmiles. org, a nonprofit organization that provides children with access to quality reading materials. Kiwanis Governor Frank Cahill emphasized the significance of literacy, stating, “When we give a child a book, we give them imagination, opportunity, and hope. ” The Parsippany PAL will act as the main drop-off site for the initiative, encouraging community members to donate new or gently used books.

This project reflects a shared commitment to youth development and education within the community. The book drive accepts various genres, including children’s, teen, and adult books. Every donation, regardless of size, helps support young readers and fosters a love of reading. For further details about BookSmiles and their literacy initiatives, visit BookSmiles. org.
