Parsippany to Hold Veterans Day Ceremony Honoring Local Heroes

Parsippany, NJLocal News

Parsippany Mayor James R. Barberio will host a Veterans Day Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park on November 11 to honor local veterans. The event aims to unite township officials and residents in a collective expression of gratitude for the sacrifices made by those who served in the U. S. Armed Forces.

"Let’s stand united in gratitude and remembrance of all who have defended our freedom," reads the invitation. Meanwhile, a Parsippany woman, Alysha Bailey, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a crash on October 4. Police found open containers of alcohol in her vehicle and conducted field sobriety tests that confirmed her impairment. Bailey faces multiple charges, including refusal to submit breath samples and was later released to a responsible party. The Veterans Day ceremony highlights the community's commitment to honoring its heroes, while the arrest underscores ongoing concerns about impaired driving.

Both incidents reflect important aspects of local community life in Parsippany.
