Joan Van Soest led individual efforts with $20,621, while teams like "Rising to the Challenge" and "The Fighting Champions" collectively inspired significant contributions. Organizers highlighted the importance of community support, with Melissa Gargantiel stating, “Every dollar raised brings us closer to a world without breast cancer. ” Over 6,000 participants walked in solidarity, showcasing local commitment to the cause. Major corporations also contributed, emphasizing corporate responsibility in community health initiatives.

Donations will be accepted until December 31, with expectations for the total to rise further. The event aligns with the Making Strides movement, the largest initiative aimed at ending breast cancer.
