Parsippany Schools Remind Students No E-Bike Riding on School Grounds
Dr. Karen A. Chase, the Superintendent of Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Schools, has enacted a ban on electric bicycles on school property to enhance student safety. The guideline comes in response to a notable rise in students riding e-bikes to school. Effective immediately, students are required to dismount and walk their e-bikes upon reaching campus.
This initiative aims to prevent injuries and alleviate congestion during peak arrival and dismissal times. Noncompliance may result in disciplinary measures, including warnings or police involvement depending on the situation. The district urges parents to support these safety measures at home to foster responsible riding habits. Additionally, the district collaborates with the Parsippany Police Department to maintain a unified approach to student safety. Dr.
Chase emphasized that clear communication between families and schools is vital for ensuring a safe environment.
