County College of Morris Launches Emergency Services Degree Program

County College of Morris (CCM) has unveiled an Associate of Applied Science (A. A. S. ) in Emergency Services to address the growing need for skilled professionals in public safety and healthcare. The new degree program prepares students for critical careers in public safety, disaster response, and emergency management.

Coursework includes emergency management, forensic science, and public safety leadership. Dr. Anthony Iacono, president of CCM, stated that associate degrees provide a fast and affordable pathway into high-demand careers. The program aims to enhance the safety infrastructure of Morris County and the surrounding region. Prior training credentials from institutions like the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy will be reviewed to help accelerate degree completion.

The new degree joins CCM’s existing Criminal Justice offerings, which include Justice Studies and a certificate in Legal Studies. Enrollment for the Spring 2026 semester opens on November 3, providing prospective students with an opportunity to begin their education in emergency services.
