Boredom Busters Drive for Goryeb Childrens Hospital Brings Smiles to Hospitalized Teens
The LEAD Morris Project launched the Boredom Busters Drive to enhance the experience of hospitalized preteens and teens at Goryeb Children’s Hospital. Community members are encouraged to donate new items, including LEGO sets, playing cards, and STEM kits, until October 27. The initiative recognizes that older children often feel overlooked in typical toy drives. Michael Harrison, a representative of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the difference each contribution can make in the lives of young patients. Donations can be made at various participating locations, including local banks and theaters.
Financial contributions are also accepted for purchasing necessary items directly for the children. The drive aims to bring creativity and joy during extended hospital stays, transforming long days into opportunities for curiosity and connection. This effort underscores the community's commitment to supporting its young members during challenging times.
