Parsippany Lions Club and American Red Cross to Host Blood Drive

Parsippany, NJLocal News

The Parsippany Lions Club and American Red Cross will host a blood donation drive on December 13 from 9:00 a. m. to 2:00 p. m. at the Parsippany Main Library.

Interested donors must schedule appointments online or by scanning a QR code on the event flyer. Blood donations are increasingly vital, with the American Red Cross stating that someone in the U. S. needs blood every two seconds. A single donation can be life-saving; burn victims may require up to 20 units of platelets, and car crash victims can need up to 100 units of blood.

A representative from the Parsippany Lions Club highlighted the event as a significant opportunity for residents to contribute meaningfully to their community. The blood drive is supported by local organizations, including the Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany and Kumon. For additional information, community members can contact the Parsippany Lions Club via email or visit their website. Participating in this event not only aids those in urgent need but also fosters a spirit of community engagement and altruism.
