Homeowners and Renters Have Until October 31 to Apply for ANCHOR Property Tax Relief

New Jersey homeowners and renters under 65 can now apply for the 2025 ANCHOR Property Tax Relief Program, with applications available until October 31, 2025. Homeowners earning up to $150,000 in 2024 are eligible for $1,750 in relief, while those with incomes between $150,001 and $250,000 may receive $1,250. Renters aged 64 and younger who earn less than $150,000 can qualify for $450, and those 65 and older may receive $700. Payments will begin on a rolling basis starting September 15, with funds typically arriving within 90 days of filing. Online applicants can select direct deposit or paper checks, while paper applications will receive a mailed check.

The program aims to provide significant financial relief to eligible residents amid rising costs.
