Post 249 American Legion will host its annual Pancake Breakfast on September 28 from 8:00 a. m. to noon at the Legion Hall in Lake Hiawatha. The breakfast will feature a hearty menu including pancakes, bacon, sausage, fruit salad, and drinks, with tickets priced at $10 for adults and $5 for children aged 6 to 12, while children under 5 eat free. In addition to the meal, children can participate in various games, enhancing the family-friendly atmosphere.

Proceeds from the event will support local Legion projects, specifically Operation ChillOut, which is dedicated to aiding homeless veterans. Tickets can be reserved by calling (973) 335-9266 or visiting the Legion Hall between 3:00 p. m. and 7:00 p. m.
