Nearly 400 community members gathered at Parsippany Town Hall to celebrate India's 78th Independence Day during a vibrant flag-raising ceremony. Sanjiv Pandya served as Master of Ceremonies, guiding the event that included performances and speeches from local leaders. Shala Gaglardi, representing Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill, recognized the contributions of the Indian-American community with an official proclamation. The ceremonial highlight was the raising of the Indian flag, met with applause from the crowd and attended by local dignitaries. Frank Cahill praised the event's organization, emphasizing the strong community bonds built over the years.

Jigar Shah expressed gratitude for the township's support, noting the importance of mutual respect among residents. Following the official proceedings, attendees enjoyed refreshments and music, reinforcing themes of pride and unity. This annual celebration reflects Parsippany's commitment to diversity and cultural connections.
