The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO) received its fourth reaccreditation from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) during a public meeting in Morristown, highlighting its commitment to law enforcement standards. Director Harry Delgado presented the reaccreditation certificate, noting the MCPO's excellence in training, policy, and community outreach, making it part of an elite group of less than six percent of New Jersey agencies with four reaccreditations. The assessment covered compliance with 112 professional standards and is valid through June 2028. Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll commended Delgado for the rigorous review and honored Pam O’Donnell for her advocacy against impaired driving through the Catch You Later Foundation.

O’Donnell's foundation emerged after the tragic loss of her husband and daughter to an impaired driver, supporting DWI enforcement in the county. Carroll referenced two serious impaired driving incidents this year, emphasizing the importance of community reporting to enhance public safety. The MCPO has conducted several DWI checkpoints, with significant numbers of driver interviews and arrests, showcasing its proactive approach to combating impaired driving. This reaccreditation underscores the MCPO’s dedication to professionalism and public service in Morris County.
