Driver Arrested for DWI Following Motor Vehicle Crash in Denville

A 24-year-old Rockaway Township man, Henilkumar Patel, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash on Old Beach Glen Road in Denville. The Denville Police Department responded to the accident around 10:26 p. m. on Saturday, August 2. Officers discovered Patel was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol during their investigation.

He was arrested and charged with multiple motor vehicle offenses, including DWI. Patel was subsequently released and is awaiting a court appearance in Denville Municipal Court. The charges are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Driving under the influence remains a significant public safety issue in New Jersey, with strict penalties for offenders.
