Parsippany Police Department Honors Deputy Chief Brian Dowd on Retirement

Deputy Chief Brian Dowd retired from the Parsippany Police Department after more than 30 years of dedicated service. He began his law enforcement career with the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office before joining the Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department. Dowd served in both the Operations and Support Services Sections, ultimately being promoted to Deputy Chief in 2024. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Seton Hall University. Throughout his career, he participated in the department’s Honor Guard and earned multiple commendations for his service.

The department acknowledges his leadership and commitment to the community, expressing gratitude for his contributions. Dowd's retirement marks the end of an era for the department, which will miss his guidance and expertise. His well-earned retirement allows him to pursue new opportunities and enjoy personal time.
