Rachael Beehler Named to University of Scranton Deans List Completes Prestigious Forensic Internship

Rachael F. Beehler, a 2022 graduate of Parsippany Hills High School, has earned recognition on the Dean’s List at The University of Scranton for the spring 2025 semester, acknowledging her academic excellence. To qualify, students must achieve a GPA of 3. 5 or higher while completing sufficient credit hours. In addition to her academic success, Beehler completed a summer internship at The Center for Forensic Science Research and Education, gaining hands-on experience in forensic toxicology.

During her internship, she learned to extract substances from blood samples and set up instrument sequences for analysis. Beehler's most significant project involved testing a mock forensic case, culminating in a 53-page report and simulated court testimony. She expressed how this project challenged her and increased her confidence as an aspiring scientist. Beehler credits her mentors and the supportive environment at CFSRE for her development. As she approaches her junior year, she remains committed to pursuing a career in forensic science.
