DeRienzo received multiple accolades as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” from 2021 to 2025. He has been an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, serving on influential committees and as a Trustee. In addition to his legal achievements, DeRienzo has dedicated over 15 years to the Parsippany–Troy Hills Fire Department, where he held leadership positions. Governor Phil Murphy nominated him to address judicial vacancies, and he succeeds Judge Rosemary E. Ramsay.

With his combination of legal expertise and community involvement, DeRienzo is poised to have a positive impact on New Jersey's judiciary. His confirmation emphasizes the importance of community service within the legal profession.
