East Pennsboro Area School District welcomes students with open arms
The East Pennsboro Area School District kicked off its 2025-26 school year, with Superintendent Dr. Michael Robinson focusing on building personal relationships with students. In his fourth year, Robinson aims to know each child by name and story, enhancing the educational experience in the district's four schools. On the first day, he plans to visit every kindergarten classroom and take photos with students, which he sends home to parents for reassurance. Robinson also announced the introduction of Bus Patrol, an AI-detection system that monitors school bus safety by issuing tickets to drivers who violate stopping laws.
He stated, “We have other people’s children… I can’t think of a more important responsibility,” highlighting the district's commitment to safety. This initiative not only enhances student security but also reflects the district's proactive approach to leveraging technology. The close-knit community of educators and families supports a unique learning environment that distinguishes East Pennsboro from other districts. Robinson's efforts underline the importance of personal connections in education and the prioritization of student safety.
