A fundraising initiative named "Operation Generator" aims to support homeless veterans in Harrisburg by financing a new generator for the Veterans Grove tiny home community. The event, sponsored by the Langan Financial Group and Renewal By Andersen, will take place on August 22 from 5:00 p. m. to 10:00 p. m.

at the West Shore-Harrisburg Elks in Camp Hill. Attendees can purchase tickets for $30, which includes dinner, a silent auction, and access to a cash bar. Proceeds from the fundraiser will ensure that veterans maintain access to heating, cooling, and food supplies during power outages. The Veterans Grove community, built by Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania, consists of 15 fully furnished tiny homes and a community center, creating a safe environment for veterans seeking to rebuild their lives. Organizers emphasize the importance of reliable power for these homes, especially during emergencies.
