Families displaced after fire spreads to multiple apartments in Juniata County

A residential fire in Thompsontown, Juniata County, displaced multiple families on Monday afternoon. Firefighters responded to the scene at 5:51 p. m. to find flames originating from a bedroom, which quickly spread to other apartments. The Mifflintown Hose Company #1 upgraded the response to a second alarm, deploying additional crews to manage the situation.

Firefighters worked for about three hours to extinguish the blaze, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.
