Oakland police concluded a four-month investigation with the arrest of three suspects on June 5, 2025, linked to a series of robberies and burglaries across the Bay Area. The investigation initiated in February after a robbery in West Oakland, where the suspect's vehicle collided with two others, including a police car, during an attempted traffic stop. Officers from the Special Resource Section (SRS) employed extensive evidence collection methods, including video surveillance and intelligence gathering, to identify a criminal group operating from Richmond. Multiple search warrants were executed in Oakland, Richmond, Concord, Antioch, and Tracy, resulting in the recovery of cash, narcotics, and a firearm. The operation demonstrates the effectiveness of inter-agency cooperation, involving the SRS East, Ceasefire, the Criminal Investigation Division, the United States Marshals, and the Concord Police Department.

Oakland police express gratitude for the dedication shown by all agencies involved in enhancing community safety. This operation underscores ongoing efforts to combat organized crime in the region, which has seen an uptick in related criminal activities.
