Tynesha Boomer described her brother as the "glue" of their family and a committed community builder at Castlemont High School. Woodruff, his partner, shared her physical injuries from the incident and spoke of her emotional pain. Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee lamented the tragedy, emphasizing the need for community action to create safer streets.
