ICE arrests Twin Cities man charged with causing fatal crash while drunk
German Adriano Llangari Inga, 35, was arrested by U. S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis after allegedly causing a fatal crash last summer. Driving without a license and reportedly drunk, Llangari Inga crashed his vehicle, killing Victoria Eileen Harwell, 31. He was initially jailed on August 4, 2024, but was released two days later and faced charges for criminal vehicular homicide nine months after the incident.
Following his May arrest, he posted a $100,000 bond to leave Hennepin County jail. ICE claims Llangari Inga entered the U. S. illegally in 2016 and was placed in removal proceedings. The case has prompted the White House to criticize sanctuary policies in the Twin Cities, which restrict local cooperation with federal immigration enforcement.
White House spokesman Alex Pfeiffer emphasized that cases like Llangari Inga’s demonstrate the need for accountability in sanctuary jurisdictions. The incident highlights ongoing debates regarding immigration enforcement and public safety in local communities.
