Minneapolis, MNLocal News

Sudiksha Konanki, a 20-year-old student at the University of Pittsburgh, was reported missing while vacationing with friends in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, on March 6. Authorities have identified a St. Cloud State University student as a "person of interest" in her case, although he is not classified as a suspect. This student was vacationing in Punta Cana but was not part of Konanki's group and may have been the last person to see her before she disappeared. Konanki's last known whereabouts coincided with a hotel power outage that led many guests to the beach, raising concerns about her safety.

The investigation is being supported by various agencies, including the Loudon County Sheriff's Office, the FBI, and the Dominican National Police. The sheriff's office has emphasized that several individuals are being interviewed as part of this ongoing investigation. Konanki, a resident of Loudon County, Virginia, is an Indian citizen and a permanent U. S. resident.

The case has garnered significant media attention, highlighting the urgency of locating Konanki.
