Annunciation memorial bows will become students works of art

Ribbons displayed throughout the Twin Cities in support of victims from the Annunciation Church shooting will be repurposed into an art project by local students. Bows of Love, the organization responsible for the ribbons, is coordinating their removal and preservation, urging residents to assist before city public works crews begin removal on October 31. The city confirmed it will not proactively remove the bows but may do so during routine maintenance. A benefit concert for the affected families will occur at the Cathedral of St. Paul on October 30 at 7:30 p.

m. Donations collected at the concert will support rebuilding efforts and aid families directly impacted by the tragedy. The concert features performances from local choirs and orchestras, fostering community solidarity. Ribbon collection in neighboring areas has started, with Edina and Richfield requiring bows cleared by November 8. St.

Paul has a deadline of November 15 for ribbon removal, highlighting the urgency of the preservation effort.
