Randal Barnard Williams, 17, pleaded guilty to first-degree assault in connection with a carjacking that critically injured a 24-year-old man in Minneapolis. The incident occurred on December 5, when the victim was lured using a dating app and shot multiple times. As part of a plea deal, Williams will serve nearly six years in prison, with the remaining time on supervised release. The victim, who survived, now faces lifelong impairments due to his injuries. Williams’ girlfriend, then 15, was also charged, but her case remains confidential due to her age.
