Trayveion Alvin Green, 24, has been charged with seven counts of second-degree murder following a mass shooting on Lake Street in Minneapolis that left Gregory Sweeten dead and six others injured. The shooting occurred on August 26, near Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, and was part of a series of violent incidents in the city, including a subsequent shooting at Annunciation Church that killed two children. Green was arrested after police gathered evidence linking him to the crime, including calls made by an accomplice, Tiffany Martindale. Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara expressed hope that the charges would provide justice for the victims' families.

Reports indicate that Green fired nearly 30 shots in eight seconds during the attack. Misha Sweeten lamented the loss of her brother, emphasizing his importance to many people.
